Phyna's Twitch Account Suspended for Sexual Content

Phyna, a Nigerian reality TV star and winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, had her Twitch account temporarily suspended on March 1, 2026, due to violations of the platform's community guidelines, specifically concerning sexual content. The suspension will bar her from livestreaming for roughly 24 hours, and the violation will remain on record until May 30, 2026.

Phyna has the option to appeal the suspension by submitting a counter notification in accordance with Twitch's DMCA guidelines, as she believes the suspension was an error. The notification from Twitch indicated that the suspension occurred during a livestream session that Phyna had scheduled.

She tagged the content as 18+, indicating it was restricted, and believes this contributed to Twitch's decision to enforce the guidelines. Phyna gained prominence after winning the Big Brother Naija competition on October 2, 2022, securing a grand prize of around 100 million naira.
