Delta Police Arrest Two Drug Dealers with Tramadol

On August 13, 2026, the Delta State Police Command arrested two suspected drug dealers, Hillary Osondu, 54, and Abubakar Bello, 54, during a stop-and-search operation conducted by personnel of the police patrol team attached to Operation Delta Shield. The operation took place along Nnebisi Road in Asaba, where a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number ZBL-549-XA was intercepted.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of 132 sachets of 100mg tramadol. Following the arrest, the suspects were taken into custody, and an investigation is currently ongoing, as stated by the Police Public Relations Officer for the state command, Bright Edafe, in a statement made available to journalists in Warri on Friday.
