Troops Foil Terrorist Attack in Benue, Two Suspects Killed

On Sunday, troops conducted an operation in Benue State to thwart a terrorist attack in Donga Community, located in the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area. The operation, which was a collaborative effort with the Benue State Civil Protection Guard, was initiated following intelligence reports of an impending attack.

During the encounter, troops engaged the terrorists, resulting in the neutralization of two identified suspects, Dantaraba and Golozo. The operation led to the recovery of significant items, including two AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and various personal items.

Lieutenant Ahmad Zubairu provided a statement detailing the operation, while Major General Mose Gara commended the troops for their professional and resilient response, which prevented potential civilian casualties and disrupted criminal activities. He also urged the public to continue providing credible intelligence to security agencies.
