IBEDC Workers Missing After Ogun State Abduction Incident

Two IT staff members of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) were abducted on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in Ogun State and have been missing for six days. IBEDC issued a statement expressing deep concern for the employees' safety and confirmed ongoing efforts to secure their safe release, collaborating closely with relevant security agencies.

The company is also providing necessary support to the families of the abducted workers during this difficult time. However, due to the sensitive nature of the incident, IBEDC did not disclose further details.

In contrast, the Ogun State Police Command, represented by DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, denied any knowledge of the abduction, stating that no reports of such an incident had been received and that inquiries had revealed no occurrences of abduction in Ogun State.
