Nigeria Defeats Morocco 3-0 in U18 Volleyball Opener

Nigeria’s boys’ volleyball team commenced their campaign at the 2026 Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Under-18 African Nations Volleyball Championship with a decisive 3-0 victory against Morocco in Alexandria, Egypt. The match featured set scores of 32-30, 25-21, and 25-18, granting Nigeria their first three points in the tournament.

The opening set was particularly challenging, with both teams exchanging leads, but Nigeria ultimately triumphed 32-30, gaining a psychological edge. This victory appeared to diminish Morocco's confidence, allowing Nigeria to dominate the subsequent sets.

In the second set, Nigeria improved their coordination and ball control, winning 25-21. The third set saw Nigeria deliver their strongest performance, winning 25-18.

This win places Nigeria in a favorable position in Group A, which includes Egypt, Morocco, and Burundi, as they aim to qualify for the knockout stage of the championship.
