UAE Details Blacklist Criteria for Entry and Exit

The United Arab Emirates has released comprehensive details regarding its official blacklist, which identifies individuals either prohibited from entering the country or restricted from leaving. This regulation is governed by the Executive Regulation of Law No. 6 of 1973 on Entry and Residence of Foreigners.

Individuals can be added to or removed from the blacklist through formal orders issued by relevant authorities. The entry ban encompasses several groups, including those previously convicted of crimes and deported, individuals flagged by the International Criminal Cooperation Department, and those confirmed to have health risks such as AIDS.

Additionally, anyone deported from any Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member country for criminal reasons is also banned. Restrictions on departing the UAE apply to individuals under ongoing investigations, those facing court orders, and individuals with financial liabilities to the government, with the authority to issue departure bans resting with the relevant minister or authorized officials.
