Ugochinyere Commends INEC and Osun for Peaceful Elections

Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, a chieftain of the Action Peoples Party (APP) and member representing Ideato North and South Federal Constituency of Imo State, praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and the citizens of Osun State for the peaceful conduct and outcome of the recent election. In his statement, Ugochinyere emphasized that the election showcased the resilience of Nigeria’s democratic institutions and the ability of stakeholders to conduct credible and peaceful elections.

He commended INEC's leadership for its commitment to enhancing the electoral process and highlighted the importance of public confidence in the commission for the consolidation of democracy in Nigeria. Ugochinyere also recognized the role of security agencies in maintaining peace and ensuring a conducive environment for citizens to vote without intimidation.

He called on political actors to respect the electoral will of the people and urged INEC to continue its reforms and work with various stakeholders to ensure credible elections ahead of the 2027 general elections.
