UK-Based Nigerian Woman Dies by Suicide After Struggles

Beatric Solomon, a 27-year-old Nigerian woman residing in the UK, died by suicide following a prolonged struggle with mental health challenges. An inquest held on a Sunday revealed that Beatric was found unresponsive at her home on Norri Road, Stanfield, after her husband, Damian Butler, returned from a delivery job.

He discovered her unresponsive in the toilet approximately two hours after leaving home. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at 6:21 PM.

The inquest, presided over by Coroner Li Hammond Naylor, ruled her death a suicide, noting that Beatric had made two previous attempts on her life. Her husband attributed her struggles to ongoing issues with Stoke Trent City Council.

A post-mortem examination conducted by Dr. Jone indicated that she died from oxygen deprivation.

The coroner extended condolences to Beatric's family and friends, highlighting the seriousness of mental health issues.
