UK Government Offers Free Frontier Worker Permits for 31 Nations

The United Kingdom has published a list of 31 countries whose citizens are eligible for the Frontier Worker permit, which enables individuals to work in the UK while maintaining residence in another country. To qualify, applicants must be nationals of the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein.

The UK government confirmed that all 27 EU member states are included in this list, along with four additional countries: Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. Notably, there is no application fee for the permit, and applicants are exempt from paying the immigration health surcharge, making this a cost-free option for eligible nationals seeking employment in the UK while residing in their home countries.
