UK Confirms Visa-Free Travel for Citizens to 29 Countries

The UK government has published guidance stating that British citizens can enter 29 countries without a visa for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This applies specifically to countries within the Schengen area and is intended for short trips only.

The guidance outlines two conditions: the trip must occur within the Schengen zone, and the total duration of stay across all Schengen countries combined must not exceed 90 days within a rolling 180-day window. The countries included in this list are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

This clarification follows the UK's departure from the European Union, which altered the travel regulations for British passport holders in Europe.
