Schoolgirl Arrested After Stabbing at Manchester Academy

On Tuesday, a 14-year-old schoolgirl was arrested by Greater Manchester Police following a stabbing incident at Co-op Academy in north-central Manchester. The incident resulted in injuries to three individuals: a 14-year-old schoolboy, a 27-year-old staff member, and the schoolgirl herself.

All three were taken to the hospital, but thankfully, their injuries were not believed to be serious. In response to the attack, the school decided to go into lockdown, and emergency vehicles surrounded the building.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that they would maintain a visible presence in the area to reassure the community.
