UK Implements Security Measures for Tinubu's Visit

The United Kingdom is set to enforce road and airspace restrictions in preparation for the state visit of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, scheduled for March 18. The Thames Valley Police, in coordination with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and the Royal Household, announced these security arrangements.

Chief Superintendent Adrian Hall emphasized that the restrictions will be in effect from March 17, starting at 7 AM until 11:59 PM on March 18. The police will deploy a substantial number of officers, including specialist teams and armed units, to ensure safety during the visit.

Additionally, the area will utilize an extensive CCTV network and implement hostile vehicle mitigation barriers. Residents and visitors are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.

Violating the flight restrictions will be treated as a criminal offense, and enforcement measures will be strictly applied.
