UK Withdraws Diplomats from Iran Amid Escalating Conflict

The United Kingdom has withdrawn its remaining diplomatic staff from Iran as the conflict involving the United States entered its 12th consecutive night. The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) announced this decision on their website, advising against all travel to Iran.

They warned that British nationals and dual British-Iranian citizens face significant risks. The United States Central Command reported that the latest overnight strikes were aimed at specific targets in Iran.

Iranian state media indicated that missiles struck areas near the western Iranian cities of Ahvaz, Ramshir, and Andimeshk. Kuwait's military reported that its air defense systems were confronting attacks by hostile drones.

U.S. President Donald Trump warned of retaliation against Iran, stating that one bridge or power plant would be destroyed for every ship targeted in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, stated that the country would adopt an "eye for an eye" approach in response to the conflict.
