IPCR Commemorates UN Charter's 80th Anniversary, Stresses Guidance for African Peace

The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) in Abuja marked the 80th anniversary of the United Nations Charter, highlighting its significance in providing guidance to African nations, particularly Nigeria, in combating terrorism and violent conflicts. Director-General Joseph Ochogwu stressed the Charter's enduring vision of peace, justice, and inclusive development in the face of evolving security challenges.

Nigeria's leadership, represented by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reaffirmed its commitment to international law and peacekeeping efforts. The IPCR aims to strengthen multilateral cooperation, prevent conflicts, and promote dialogue and reconciliation in alignment with the UN and African Union frameworks.
