UNIJOS Alumni Demand Justice for Mob Killing of Graduate

The University of Jos Alumni Association has issued a statement demanding justice for Ibrahim Mbaya, a graduate who was allegedly killed by a mob. The association described the incident as “barbaric, unjustifiable and a gross violation of the right to life.” They expressed deep sadness and outrage over Mbaya's gruesome killing, emphasizing that no Nigerian deserves to die in such a manner.

The alumni association urged security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation, arrest those involved, and ensure they face the full weight of the law. They called for the police to make the findings public and urged governments at all levels to enhance public awareness campaigns against jungle justice.

The association also pledged support to Mbaya's family in their pursuit of justice. As of the report's filing, security agencies had not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
