United Nigeria Airlines Joins African Airlines Association

United Nigeria Airlines has officially been admitted as a full member of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA). The airline began its commercial operations in February 2021, with a mission to enhance domestic connectivity across Nigeria and promote regional integration within West Africa.

United Nigeria Airlines operates a diverse and modern fleet, including Boeing 737-800NG, Embraer 145, Embraer 190, and CRJ 900 jets. Currently, the airline services 14 domestic routes, including Abuja, Anambra, Asaba, Benin, Ekiti, Enugu, Ilorin, Kano, Lagos, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Sokoto, Warri, and Yenagoa, with plans to open four new routes this year.

The airline aims to establish its own maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility to strengthen Nigeria's aviation ecosystem. Mr.

Abderahman Berth, AFRAA Secretary General, expressed excitement about United Nigeria Airlines joining AFRAA, emphasizing the airline's resilience and forward-looking spirit. Prof.

Obiora Okonkwo, Executive Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, stated that AFRAA membership provides a stronger platform to advance their vision and collaborate with fellow African carriers.
