ADC's Ibrahim Khalil: United Opposition Can Defeat APC

Ibrahim Khalil, the former governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State, stated that a united opposition has the potential to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections. Khalil made this assertion during a statement on Friday, shortly before his return to Saudi Arabia.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration among key political figures, including Rabiu Kwankwaso, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi, to strengthen the opposition against the APC. Khalil argued that the current economic hardships faced by Nigerians would bolster public support for the opposition, as citizens are already experiencing significant difficulties.

He maintained that a strong alliance among opposition leaders would be crucial in challenging the APC's dominance at the national level. Khalil also described attempts by the APC to destabilize the ADC and intimidate opposition parties as a long-standing tactic, asserting that such strategies would not endure indefinitely.

This statement comes amid rising political tensions in Kano State following recent defections and shifts in alliances among political actors.
