UNIZIK Denies Lecturer's Involvement in Viral Scandal

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka, Anambra State, issued a statement denying allegations that a lecturer was involved in a viral sex scandal video. The video, which circulated online, purportedly showed a lecturer inappropriately interacting with a female student on campus.

In the video, students attempted to apprehend the lecturer, who reportedly fled by jumping out of a window. Aloysius Attah, the university's director of information, clarified that the individual depicted in the video is neither a staff member nor a student of UNIZIK.

The university emphasized that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards the exploitation of students and upholds the highest standards of professional conduct among its staff. The institution urged the public and media to refrain from spreading unverified information and to verify facts before dissemination, highlighting the negative impact of misinformation on its reputation.
