Senate Committee to Address UTME Exam Challenges

The Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions, chaired by Mohammed Danduts, has committed to resolving the challenges encountered during the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Complaints from parents and candidates regarding disruptions at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers have been acknowledged.

Danduts emphasized the need for urgent action to ensure that students can take their exams without further issues. Dr.

Fabian Benjamin, an advisor to JAMB, addressed concerns about technical glitches, stating that while such problems are not unusual, they should be managed effectively. He assured that candidates who could not sit for their exams due to center failures would be rescheduled.

The committee aims to improve the operational efficiency of CBT centers and ensure that all registered candidates have the opportunity to complete their examinations, with a commitment to minimizing failures in the future.
