Uzodimma Advocates for Strong Opposition in Democracy

Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State, asserted that there can be no real democracy without a credible opposition. Speaking on a Saturday, he emphasized that the absence of a strong opposition weakens the democratic culture in Nigeria.

Uzodimma highlighted the need for opposition parties to work hard to earn the trust of the electorate. He expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the party is already well-positioned for the 2027 presidential elections.

He noted that the APC's grassroots strength has been significantly enhanced through a valid membership registration exercise, which has expanded its support base across the country. Uzodimma praised Bola Ahmed Tinubu's leadership style and insisted that he has done enough to deserve a second term as president.

He congratulated Tinubu on his achievements and the successful turnout during the APC primary elections.
