Uzodimma Urges Nigerians to Strengthen Democracy

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma called on Nigerians to work diligently to sustain democracy during a recent address. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among various institutions, including the legislature, judiciary, security agencies, and electoral bodies, to uphold democracy as the best form of governance.

Uzodimma, who is also the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, acknowledged the challenges faced by democracy in Nigeria but expressed optimism given the country's 27 years of unbroken democratic governance. He paid tribute to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, recognizing his sacrifices and efforts in the fight for democracy.

Uzodimma commended Tinubu for initiating bold reforms aimed at stabilizing the nation's economy and renewing global confidence in Nigeria. He urged Nigerians to remain steadfast and keep faith in the country's journey towards consolidating democracy and achieving good governance.
