Southeast Governors Pledge Support for Tinubu in 2027

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who is also the Chairman of the South East Governors Forum, stated that the governors of the five South East states have resolved to support President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections. This decision was based on the tangible achievements of Tinubu’s administration for the region, contrasting with the negative propaganda from some politicians.

During a meeting with the Imo State Elders Council and the Traditional Rulers Council at the New EXCO Chambers in Owerri, Uzodimma emphasized that the South East has benefited significantly from Tinubu's policies, including the establishment of the South East Development Commission, which was signed into law on July 24, 2024. He also highlighted the inauguration of the Port Harcourt to Aba rail line in May 2024 and ongoing road projects, including the access roads to the Second Niger Bridge.

Furthermore, he mentioned two new road projects approved by Tinubu, which were welcomed by Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
