Uzodimma Compares Tinubu to Lee Kuan Yew at Dinner

During a dinner in Owerri, Imo State, Governor Hope Uzodimma compared President Bola Tinubu to Singapore's late leader Lee Kuan Yew, commending Tinubu's bold economic reforms. Uzodimma expressed confidence that Tinubu, who assumed office on May 29, 2023, is fully prepared to address Nigeria's economic challenges.

He emphasized that the country is entering a new phase of development, moving away from the old order. Uzodimma drew a biblical analogy, comparing Nigeria's pre-reform economic situation to the Israelites' bondage in Egypt, stating that Tinubu's decisive actions are necessary to liberate Nigeria from years of economic stagnation.

He noted that the reforms have already begun to yield positive results, particularly in increasing revenue for state infrastructure and human capital development. Uzodimma expressed optimism that Nigerians will reward Tinubu with a second term in 2027, as the benefits of his administration's policies become evident.

He also highlighted the ongoing transformation in Imo State as a direct result of Tinubu's Renew Hope agenda.
