Uzodimma Compares Tinubu to Lee Kuan Yew at Dinner

Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State, described President Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s equivalent of Lee Kuan Yew during a state dinner in Owerri, marking the end of a three-day media tour by the Renew Hope Ambassador team. Uzodimma commended Tinubu's bold reforms since he assumed office on May 29, 2023, stating that he is fully prepared to confront Nigeria's economic challenges.

He acknowledged the difficult decisions required to implement these reforms, which he compared to the biblical bondage of the Israelites in Egypt. Uzodimma noted that despite short-term hardships, the reforms have already yielded results, including increased revenue for states and improvements in infrastructure and human capital development.

He expressed confidence that Nigerians would reward Tinubu with a second term in 2027 as the benefits of the reforms become evident. Veteran journalist Soni Daniel praised Uzodimma’s efforts in transforming Imo State's infrastructure through the Renew Hope agenda.
