Imo State Declared One-Party State for Tinubu

On a Friday night at the Imo State Government House in Owerri, Governor Hope Uzodinma proclaimed Imo State a "one-party state" in favor of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. During an event hosted for members of the Renew Hope Agenda, Uzodinma stated that the people of Imo have already decided to support Tinubu's presidency.

He highlighted the successes of Tinubu's administration since the campaign began on May 29, 2023, including the verification of over 13 million beneficiaries of various social interventions in Imo State. Uzodinma urged party members to ensure that at least 50 people at every polling unit vote for the presidential candidate.

He drew parallels between Tinubu's administration and the biblical journey of the Israelites, emphasizing a transformative new order for Nigeria. Uzodinma also noted significant improvements in the state's finances and infrastructure since he took office on January 15, 2020, including an increase in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from less than N400 million to close to N6 billion monthly.
