APC Appoints Uzodimma to Lead Osun Guber Campaign Council

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the formation of its National Campaign Council for the upcoming Osun State governorship election, chaired by Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum. The council includes co-chairmen such as Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.

Additionally, Ibrahim Kabir Masari, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, will serve as Deputy Chairman, while Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, will act as Secretary. The notice of these appointments was signed by the APC’s National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.

The council is tasked with coordinating campaign activities and mobilizing support for the election. To enhance its campaign structure, the APC has established specialized sub-committees focused on various aspects of the election process.

The inauguration of the National Campaign Council and its sub-committees is scheduled for July 28, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Event Centre in Abuja.
