Cleric Urges Youths to Embrace Purity on Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day, Bishop Israel Alaya, the presiding bishop of Dominion Bible Church International in Abeokuta, Nigeria, called on youths to reject fornication and adultery. During a themed walk titled "Live Purity," he led a group of young people carrying placards with messages against rape, adultery, child abuse, drug abuse, and cheating.

Alaya stressed that Valentine's Day should be a time to spread agape love rather than engage in sexual immorality. He highlighted the societal trend of booking hotels for illicit affairs during this period, asserting that God's design for sex is confined to marriage.

The bishop emphasized that bodies are not for sale and should be treated as temples of God. He also urged parents to foster open communication with their children to prevent deception and corruption.

Additionally, Alaya called on Nigerian leaders to ensure justice is served against individuals involved in terrorism, criticizing the government's failure to prosecute those sponsoring terror in the country.
