APC Chieftain Mocks Desmond Elliot's Withdrawal Claim

Ayekooto Akindele, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), publicly ridiculed Desmond Elliot, a Nollywood actor and current lawmaker representing Surulere in the Lagos State House of Assembly, for claiming he withdrew from the party's primary elections. Elliot had alleged that he faced intimidation during the electoral process.

However, Akindele countered this assertion, stating that Elliot actively participated in the elections and suffered a significant defeat. Akindele described Elliot's claims as "ridiculous" and characterized him as a "bad loser" and a "desperate overtly ambitious politician." Following the elections, Elliot organized a press conference to discuss his withdrawal and the alleged intimidation, but Akindele's remarks suggest that Elliot's claims are unfounded and that he should accept the electoral outcome.
