Tinubu Assures Victory Over Insurgency at Argungu Festival

On Saturday, during the Argungu International Fish Festival in Kebbi State, President Bola Tinubu assured that Nigeria would win the fight against insecurity and insurgency. He highlighted the current peace enjoyed in Kebbi and neighboring states as a result of sustained investment in security and intelligence coordination among security agencies.

Tinubu emphasized the government's commitment to supporting farmers and fishermen to guarantee food security and safety across the country. He noted that the peace witnessed today is the outcome of deliberate and sustained efforts against banditry and insurgency, allowing farmers, fishermen, and traders to operate without fear.

The festival, which has endured for 83 years despite social and security challenges, was described by Tinubu as a symbol of unity, resilience, and coexistence among the people, reflecting Nigeria's rich cultural heritage and human resources. Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris also expressed determination to elevate the Argungu Fish Festival to international standards and pursue aggressive development across critical sectors.
