Abducted Ekiti Worshippers Freed After 67 Days in Captivity

Victims abducted during an attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eda Oniyo, Ekiti, have regained their freedom after being held captive for 67 days. The incident occurred on April 28, when gunmen attacked the church during an open crusade, resulting in the death of a pastor and the kidnapping of worshippers.

Reports indicate that the victims were released in the early hours of Saturday and are currently receiving medical attention at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti, the state capital. The attack highlights ongoing security challenges in the region, particularly related to kidnapping incidents.
