Osun Governor Adeleke Joins Tinubu's APC Campaign Team
Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, has departed for Abuja to attend the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council. The inauguration is set to occur at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.
Adeleke has been appointed as a coordinator for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election campaign in Osun State, despite the APC's political structure and recent contests against Adeleke's party. Senator Ajibola Bashiru, APC National Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Council, clarified that this alliance does not require the APC to abandon its candidates in other elections.
Bashiru emphasized that the collaboration aims solely for Tinubu's victory in the presidential election, allowing APC members to contest for other positions independently. He acknowledged past campaign opposition against Adeleke but stated that their differences would not hinder their current alliance for the presidential election.
