Keyamo Demands Apology and Fine from Peter Obi

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has called on Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate for the Labour Party, to apologize publicly and pay a fine of N25,000 following an incident where Obi's vehicle was clamped at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. Keyamo stated that Obi's claims of the vehicle being unjustly clamped are false and part of a persecution narrative against the federal government.

The incident occurred on July 4, when Obi's vehicle was left unattended for 30 minutes, leading airport security staff to clamp the tires. Keyamo noted that the airport is monitored by CCTV, which could verify the events.

He has given Obi one week to comply with the demands, or he will escalate the matter to the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria. Keyamo dismissed Obi's claims of harassment as unfounded, asserting that the vehicle was parked improperly.
