NDLEA Intercepts Tramadol Concealed in Soap for UK

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has successfully intercepted a consignment of tramadol pills that were concealed inside black soap containers, which were destined for the United Kingdom. This seizure was disclosed by Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy for the NDLEA, through a narco-trend update shared on his X handle on Sunday.

The concealment was discovered by NDLEA operatives during a routine interdiction operation in Lagos. Babafemi reiterated the agency's warning to the public, advising against accepting parcels or luggage from others without knowledge of their contents.

He emphasized the risks involved, stating, “Here are pills of tramadol buried in black soap containers to get them to the UK, but the concealment was discovered by #ndlea_nigeria officers in Lagos.” This incident underscores the ongoing efforts of the NDLEA to combat drug trafficking and raise public awareness about the dangers of accepting unknown packages.
