Vitel Wireless Launches Non-Expiring Data Service in Nigeria

Vitel Wireless has introduced a non-expiring data service in Nigeria to address longstanding consumer concerns regarding data loss and pricing. The service allows subscribers to retain their purchased data until fully consumed, eliminating the typical time restrictions associated with internet bundles.

Engr. Kenneth Emeka Nwabuez, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vitel Wireless, emphasized the need for greater flexibility in a market where consumers face economic pressures.

He criticized conventional data pricing models for being confusing and restrictive, often requiring usage within limited time windows. The new service is particularly relevant in Nigeria's operational environment, where inconsistent electricity supply can hinder daily internet access.

Additionally, Vitel Wireless plans to distribute free eSIMs to allow users to try the service alongside existing mobile lines. Future offerings will include specialized data bundles for platforms like WhatsApp, YouTube, and Netflix, which will also operate without expiration limits.

This launch positions Vitel Wireless as a disruptive player in Nigeria's telecom sector, responding to the demand for transparent and fair service offerings.
