INEC Reminds Nigerians: Voter Registration Ends July 26

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a reminder to eligible Nigerians that the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) will conclude on Sunday, July 26, 2026. In a public notice shared on its X handle, INEC encouraged prospective voters to utilize the remaining days to complete their registration.

Nigerians can register online through the dedicated CVR portal or visit designated registration centers for physical assistance. INEC emphasized that all registration centers will be open daily, including weekends, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the registration period ends.

The commission stated, “Your future won’t wait. Neither should you,” urging those needing assistance to visit any INEC state office, local government area office, or designated registration center.

This CVR exercise is part of INEC's preparations for the 2027 general elections, allowing eligible Nigerians and those wishing to update their voter information to be included in the national register of voters.
