Super Falcons Report Theft of Cash in Morocco Hotel

Players from Nigeria's Super Falcons have raised alarms over a theft incident at their hotel, the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca, Morocco, where they are preparing for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Several players reported missing cash from their wallets while they were away from their rooms.

The affected players include Esther Okoronkwo, who lost $700; Rasheedat Ajibade, missing $200; Osinachi Ohale, who reported $100 missing; Joy Omewa, who lost $120; and Halimatu Ayinde, who is missing $100. The total amount reported stolen from the players is $1,220, approximately N1.7 million.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has not issued an official statement regarding the theft or confirmed if an investigation is being conducted. The Super Falcons, as defending champions, are intensifying their preparations for their opening match against Malawi in Rabat, part of their Group C campaign, which also includes Zambia and Egypt.
