NSC and NFF Form Welfare Committee for Super Falcons

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the National Sports Commission (NSC) have formed a welfare committee aimed at ensuring the comfort of the Super Falcons during their title defense at the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. This committee, consisting of seven members, will be chaired by NFF Executive Board member Aisha Falod, with Ruth David serving as the secretary.

Other members include Rt Hon Margaret Icheen, Babagana Kalli, Emeka Iyama, Aderonk Tinuoy, and Tobechukwu Oluchi. The initiative, supported by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, aims to facilitate a seamless campaign for the team, free from financial disputes that could distract them.

The NSC Director General, Hon Bukola Olopade, emphasized the commitment to the welfare of the Super Falcons, marking the first time such a committee has been established for a senior women's national team ahead of a major tournament.
