Nigerian Labour Party Warns Against Fake Social Media Accounts Amid Leadership Dispute

The Labour Party in Nigeria, through its senior special adviser on media, Ken Asogwa, stated that the party does not have any active social media accounts at present. Asogwa highlighted that a fake Twitter account under the name "Nigeria Labour Party LP" was recently discovered, cautioning the public against misinformation spread through such unauthorized channels.

The party's interim national chairman, following a Federal High Court judgment affirming Nenadi Usman as the interim leader, emphasized the lack of official social media presence. Labour Party aims for a peaceful resolution with the former leadership to regain control of its social media accounts.

Asogwa urged the public to disregard information from unauthorized accounts and assured that the party would inform the public once its official accounts are fully restored.
