Bishop Kundi Laments Failure to Protect Kaduna Residents

On Saturday, the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan conducted the burial of 27 victims from a recent attack in Naridon village, Southern Kaduna, where suspected terrorists killed at least 30 individuals, including children. The attack occurred around 11 pm last Sunday, with the assailants targeting the farming community on the border of Kaduna State and Ganawuri in Plateau State.

During the burial service, Bishop Julius Yakubu Kundi arranged the coffins to serve as a stark reminder of the tragedy, stating, “We failed to protect them.” He expressed deep sympathy for the grieving families, particularly the mothers mourning their losses. President Bola Tinubu has since directed security agencies to arrest those responsible for the heinous crime and extended his condolences to the Kaduna State Government and the victims.
