Former Lawmakers Disown Lawsuit Against ADC Over Alleged Constitutional Violations

Former federal lawmakers have distanced themselves from a lawsuit filed by the National Forum of Former Legislators (NFFL) against the ADC party in the Federal High Court in Abuja. The lawsuit, spearheaded by Raphael Igbokw, alleges that ADC did not meet the constitutional requirements to retain its status as a political party.

The lawmakers expressed concern over disrespecting legislative traditions and dissociated themselves from the lawsuit seeking the deregistration of ADC. The NFFL claimed ADC failed to secure 25% of votes in states during the last presidential election.
