Kingibe and Wike Clash Over FCT Curfew Dispute

Senator Kingibe revealed a confrontation with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Wike, during a phone call regarding a curfew that she argued was imposed without adequate consultation and caused significant hardship for residents. Kingibe expressed her frustrations during an interview, stating that her attempts to reach Wike were met with silence until she finally managed to speak with him, resulting in a heated exchange.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, intervened by facilitating three calls to resolve the issue. Kingibe accused Wike of sidelining stakeholders and making unilateral decisions, which she claimed led to a breakdown in communication.
