Bago Warns Against Anti-Party Activities Ahead of APC Congress

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago issued a strong warning against anti-party activities as preparations for the All Progressives Congress (APC) congress begin. During a stakeholders' meeting at the Government House in Minna, Bago stated that the party would not tolerate actions that could cause division among members.

He emphasized the importance of discipline throughout the congress process and announced the establishment of a state commission to head the congress committee at the local government level. This decision follows the expiration of the state APC executive's tenure.

The commission is tasked with coordinating grassroots activities and compiling an accurate list of party members. Bago cautioned against compromising party rules and warned that anyone found guilty of misconduct would face sanctions.

APC Vice Chairman for North Central, Mu Azu Bawa Rijau, noted that the party adopted a consensus method for conducting congresses at various levels and urged members to work together for a successful congress.
