APC Aide Claims Past Election Result Manipulation

Abubakar Mamadi, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and aide to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, openly boasted about the party's history of manipulating election results, stating, "We wrote election results… not once, not twice." His comments were made in response to concerns about the upcoming 2027 general elections, especially following the controversies surrounding the 2023 polls. Mamadi's remarks were aimed at former Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Zailani, who recently lost the APC senatorial ticket for Kaduna Central and questioned the party's electoral strength.

Mamadi dismissed Zailani's claims about the party's inability to win elections, asserting that the APC has a history of electoral manipulation not limited to internal primaries but extending to general elections. He also mentioned that he is not afraid of security agencies and challenged Zailani's credibility, suggesting that his defeat was a result of his political history rather than any external manipulation.
