APC Governors Strategize for 2027 Elections in Abuja

A meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors took place in Abuja, concluding in the early hours of Tuesday, where they discussed preparations for the 2027 general elections. The meeting, chaired by Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State, involved members of the Progress Governors' Forum (PGF), which includes serving APC governors across Nigeria.

The forum reviewed the party's recent electoral performance, particularly the outcomes of primary elections in various regions, and noted strong results in the recent governorship elections in Ekiti. Uzodimma acknowledged the necessity for closer engagement with the party's national leadership, led by Chairman Abdullahi Adamu, to enhance internal coordination ahead of the upcoming elections.

The governors also addressed the need to improve the welfare of Nigerians amidst prevailing economic challenges and reaffirmed their commitment to support APC leadership and strengthen the party's structure nationwide.
