Tinubu Administration Prioritizes Military Veterans' Welfare

On Wednesday, during a courtesy visit by military veterans' representatives to the Ministry of Defence at Ship House, Abuja, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Minister of Defence, reiterated the Federal Government's commitment to addressing the welfare, remuneration, and pension concerns of military veterans. Represented by Mr. Richard Pheelangwah, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, General Musa acknowledged the significant sacrifices made by Nigeria's military veterans.

He assured them that their concerns regarding wage and pension adjustments are receiving urgent attention, with relevant military and financial authorities engaged to find a fair resolution. Musa appealed for calm and constructive engagement, emphasizing that sustained dialogue is crucial for resolving outstanding issues while preserving veterans' dignity.

He stated that any adjustments to entitlements must be properly computed and funded according to regulations to ensure sustainability. The Minister committed to ongoing engagement with veterans' representatives and providing updates as progress is made.
