APC's Oyebamiji Questions Osun Election Results

Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the recent Osun governorship election, has not accepted his defeat by the incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party. After a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Oyebamiji stated that he is still "examining the books" of the election results.

Adeleke secured 511,067 votes, defeating Oyebamiji, who garnered 444,815 votes, winning in 19 out of 30 local government areas. President Tinubu congratulated Adeleke on his victory, which was acknowledged during a visit by Adeleke to the Presidential Villa.

Oyebamiji appealed for peace among his supporters and called on Governor Adeleke to address his supporters to prevent violence, citing recent attacks on APC members in his village, Ikire. He emphasized the importance of peaceful conduct in governance and stated that the APC would announce its position after a thorough review of the election results.
