Nigeria's Counter Terrorism Centre Secures 775 Convictions in Trials

The National Counter Terrorism Centre, under the Office of the National Security Adviser, has conducted eight phases of terrorism trials in Nigeria, resulting in 775 convictions. The Centre's National Coordinator, Adamu Laka, emphasized Nigeria's commitment to pursuing justice through lawful processes and promoting rehabilitation for repentant fighters.

Laka highlighted the importance of a comprehensive counterterrorism strategy involving various stakeholders to address the root causes of terrorism, including poverty and social exclusion.
