WhatsApp is launching a new security mode to safeguard users from cyber-attacks, as reported by WABetaInfo. The feature, part of the latest beta version, will enable users to activate multiple advanced security settings simultaneously.

Once enabled, the strict security mode will automatically lock down key privacy settings, including media sharing, call handling, and group invitation permissions. This move aims to enhance account protection by applying various restrictions to keep users safe, such as blocking media attachments from unknown senders and limiting call and message functions.

The feature is expected to improve the management of messages from unknown or suspicious accounts, reducing the risk of targeted attacks.
