Anioma People in Delta State Deny Igbo Origin Due to Biafran War Stigma

Ken Okolugbo, a consultant to Senator Ken Okolugbo, shared in an interview with African Independent Television (AIT) that the people of Anioma in Delta State do not identify as Igbo despite linguistic similarities, attributing it to the stigma associated with the Biafran War. He highlighted the need for equitable state distribution and proposed the creation of new states to promote inclusivity and reduce tensions in the South East.

This stance aims to address historical grievances and foster reconciliation among different regions in Nigeria.
