Blessing Agbebaku Resigns as Edo Assembly Speaker

Blessing Agbebaku, the immediate past Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, announced his resignation for personal reasons and in the interest of peace for Edo State and his constituency, Owan West. This decision was made public through a statement by his media aide, Ivy Ebojele, on Facebook.

Agbebaku clarified that his resignation was not due to any conflict with the other 23 lawmakers, with whom he maintained a cordial relationship throughout his tenure. He stated that differences among members are natural but did not hinder the passage of people-oriented Bills and Resolutions during his leadership.
